My second trip to the Eccles Dinosaur Park gave me a chance to get more acquainted with their Hesperosaurus display, who, if you remember from previous entries, is a type of Stegosaur that has a slightly different head shape as well as rounder back plates than its more famous cousin. As always, there is some debate whether these qualities distinguish Hesperosaurus enough from Stegosaurus to be worthy of being classified under a different name, but I leave those kinds of arguments up to the professionals. I’m just a guy who likes dinosaurs and thinks they are all awesome. One thing I love about this museum is the way they have painted the walls to make the rooms feel like a single natual environment at different times of the day. The side of the room I am on here represents the early evening, and the beautiful orange sunsets that you can see in this part of the country.
