While on tour in Tennessee, I was able to sneak away for a little bit to visit Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky.  There are actually a few different locations of this franchise around the US, each featuring a walking path that takes you through a forest with lots of dinosaur statues blended into the environment.  It’s such a cool idea, and something I really wish had existed when I was a kid.  About halfway through, I came across this herd of Stegosaurs which I thought had been painted beautifully.  There’s a lot of debate as to what colors dinosaurs may have been, since fossil records can’t capture skin pigmentation.  So one generally accepted method is to look at the colors of reptiles that still currently exist, with ancestors dating back to those days, such as crocodiles.  This usually results in a lot of greens and browns arranged in various patterns.  With that in mind, I’d say these sculptors did a pretty great job!
