Up on a shelf near the ceiling of a winding path in the London Natural History Museum hides this gorgeous skeleton of Stegosaurus’ cousin from the far east: Tuojiangosaurus.  As I’ve expanded my quest to include more Stegosaurs besides the most famous American species, I’ve grown an appreciation for how rare and precious these fossils are.  There’s no question that millions of Tuojiangosaurs roamed the earth, and yet only about 15 skeletons exist in a form that is complete enough to create a mounted display.  So even though it’s a little hard to see, I fully understand why the museum would want to place this one up out of harm’s way.  Put it higher!!!
