The Australian portion of the dinosaur adventure continued in the national capital city of Canberra.  This town wasn’t near any of the places I was performing on tour, so I had to take a 6-hour side trip to get there and back on the day off between shows.  It was exhausting, but worth it!  The National Dinosaur museum is a very kid-friendly place, and it was nice to see all the families together enjoying the exhibits.  The museum boasts the largest collection of fossils on the Australian continent, all presented in a very fun and colorful way.  I also liked the big dinosaur sculpture garden that surrounds the museum, which really helps brings the animals to life for kids seeing them “in person” for the first time.  Hopefully I’ll get to bring my own children here someday.  (Once they exist!)  As long as they can handle a 19 hour plane ride from America, it should be no problem!
