Montana, much like Utah, is a treasure trove of dinosaur bones, and many of its museums boast the added bonus of featuring fossils that have been discovered in the area. Such is the case with the Museum of the Rockies. Although it only displays the skull, plate, and spike of a Stegosaurus (good enough for me, obviously!), it is a terrific museum which houses the largest collection of dinosaur remains in the United States, including the biggest Tyrannosaurus Skull ever discovered. The museum is considered the crown jewel of the “Montana Dinosaur Trail.” which is a series of 14 dinosaur-themed museums and attractions spread out across the entire state. You can even get your own “Prehistoric Passport” which allows you to collect stamps from each place you visit on the trail. How can you not love that?!
