I think of all the dinosaur displays I have seen, Houston’s might be the best.  The specimens are unbelievable, creatively lit, and posed in remarkable ways.  It’s curated by the world renowned paleontologist Robert Bakker too, so you know you’re witnessing top-notch science!

This is the only Stegosaurus I have ever seen posed on two legs.  The consensus seems to be that they spent most of their time on four legs, but could move on two if necessary.  Dinosaurs ability two walk on two legs in general is noteworthy because it connects them to modern day birds more than lizards.  Reptiles, being cold blooded, need to stay as close to the earth as possible to draw the sun’s heat from the ground.  Otherwise their bodies would literally shut down from the cold.  The fact that many dinosaurs walked on two feet indicates the possibility of a warm-blooded animal that could regulate its own body temperature from within.  Mind blown!
