Oh man, here’s another Stegosaurus that things didn’t work out too well for. This powerful display is located in the Thermopolis Dinosaur Museum, which is, hands down, one of the best dinosaur rooms in the country. It’s a pretty serious haul to find the place though. Thermopolis isn’t that close to many major airports or cities, but the trip was definitely worth it. This museum has the unusual quality of playing quiet classical music over the PA system while you look at the exhibits. I’m used to museums either being totally silent or having tons of screaming kids, but not much in between. I have to say I kind of liked it once I got used to it. It was definitely the most relaxing way to take in the images of wild ancient animal skeletons fighting to the death!
