Rocksprings – WY – Western Wyoming Community College

I have to give a huge shoutout to Western Wyoming Community college. I love that they decided to decorate the lobby of one of their school buildings with gorgeous replicas of dinosaur skeletons. I believe this one is based on the New York City specimen. (The unique pointy shape of the highest backplate is a dead giveaway!)

A friend of mine and I went on a road trip through Colorado and Wyoming to check out a few of the museums out there, and this was one of the bonus stops. School was out at the time so the place was completely deserted. The only person there was the nice receptionist who worked at the front desk, and laughed as my buddy and I attempted to perfectly capture a full on “rock jump” for the photo. I think we got it in the end, but I’m embarrassed to admit how many tries it took!
