Denver, CO – Denver Museum of Nature and Science
The Denver Stegosaurus is one I had seen in science books ever since I was a little kid. It’s got more of a cream color to it and had previously been posed in sort of a typical, stagnant manner. When I finally got to see it in person though, it had been updated to a much more dramatic appearance. The presentation is now of a mother Stegosaurus squaring up against an Allosaurus (one of the main predators of the Jurassic period) to protect her two babies. It really brings the scene to life and is mind-blowing to see in person.
No matter how many dinosaur skeletons and displays I see, I still sometimes can’t believe that these animals actually existed and walked the same ground as us for thousands of times longer than our entire existence on this planet! Unreal!

Hi there, my name is Dan Avidan. I’m mostly known as the singer for Ninja Sex Party, and a comedian on the YouTube show Game Grumps. What is not as well-known about me is that I am also a huge lover of dinosaurs.
It started when I was five years old and my granddad took me to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. I was immediately captivated by the dinosaur skeletons and was mystified that these ancient animals actually existed.
