Fernbank Museum is a famous museum with a great design to it. Its central lobby contains a gigantic sauropod skeleton that stretches up and across the building’s three stories, allowing you to examine different parts of the animal based on where you’re standing and what level you’re on. In one of the smaller side-rooms you can find this Stegosaurus skeleton, which I believe is a replica of my favorite one at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The advantage here is that the mount is atop a four-foot rock wall, which means you can check out the fossil from a completely different perspective than you normally would. It’s a great experience to witness something so familiar from a new angle.
