The Fruita, Colorado museum boasts a gorgeous Stegosaurus that completely dispels the myth that these creatures were clunky and plodding.  This specimen is extremely long and graceful, with its head and tail both posed upward in a defensive “poised to strike” type of pose.

The museum also featured some animatronic dinosaurs that looked like they hadn’t been updated or maintained since the 1980s.  They were a little worse for wear, but I was a kid during the 80s, so their grimy look was very nostalgic for me.  It definitely had a touch of that 1980s New Jersey museum magic!
